Elekta received the prestigious "Achievement Award 2004 for Corporate Excellence" in recognition of the outstanding performance and success of the company's U.S. division. The award was presented April 2, 2004 at a gala dinner in San Francisco.

Elekta's award was based on the company's market and sales success, defined as:

The award is presented annually by the Swedish Trade Council, the Consulate General of Sweden and the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco and is awarded to Swedish companies with divisions in the U.S. Previous winners include Ericsson, H&M, Hasselblad, Orrefors, Skanska, Thule and Volvo.

Elekta is celebrating its 20th year of operation in the U.S., and recently relocated its North American headquarters to a larger facility in Atlanta to support the company's continued strong growth.
