Women With Persistent High-Risk HPV May Develop CIN Lesions Despite Normal Colposcopy

MONTREAL -- July 13, 2010 -- Research presented here at the 26th International Papillomavirus Conference (IPC) suggests women with persistent infection of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) should be observed, given the possibility they may develop cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), even if they have normal colposcopy and histopathology.
