December 28, 2004 Biotech stocks soared on Tuesday, easily erasing Monday’s loss and then some. The Centient Biotech 200 rose spectacularly, moving 73.85 points higher and breaking the 3600 barrier. It closed at 3612.71a 2.09% climb. Among the stocks that moved today, ImmunoGen sold another license, Elan received FDA approval for an important new drug, Axonyx completed a Phase III Alzheimer’s trial, and Barr added to its list of oral contraceptive drugs.
