PITTSBURGH, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse (PLSG), the private/public partnership putting the region's life sciences industry on a fast track for growth, today announced it has added to its management team Philip Petraglia, who joins the PLSG as its Controller.
Mr. Petraglia will be responsible for directing and managing PLSG's financial policies and procedures, its accounting practices, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. He joins the PLSG from Resources Connection, a professional services firm.
"Mr. Petraglia is a welcome addition to the management team," said Doros Platika, M.D., the President and Chief Executive Officer of the PLSG. "He has a wide variety of professional experience in finance and business administration. The skills he has developed over 20 years of management in start-ups, non-profits, and corporate organizations are a great match for PLSG's fiduciary needs."
Prior to his role at Resources Connection, Mr. Petraglia was responsible for the financial and operational management of several small and medium-sized organizations. His experience in the region has included management positions with Carnegie Learning, Inc., The Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, Alloy Steel Corporation, and Coopers & Lybrand.
Mr. Petraglia received his bachelor's degree, from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
