New Draeger Medical 3-D Anesthesia Platform Helps Optimize Workflow, Efficiency, And Reduce Costs; Innovative Apollo System Provides Therapy While Offering An Open-Platform Architecture For Integration Into A Hospital’s Existing Workflow

TELFORD, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 2, 2005--Draeger Medical, Inc. today announced the release for sale of its newest addition to the 3-D Anesthesia family, a modern and forward-looking workplace solution for anesthesia. The new platform, Apollo(TM), is modular in design and can be expanded with software options. Apollo has the ventilation technology to care for patients of a wide range of ages and medical conditions. As the proportion of elderly and critical care patients in the operating room rises, more is demanded of an anesthesia workstation. Intensive care patients require a high level of ventilator performance during surgery to ensure that the carefully balanced ventilation therapy is not interrupted during anesthesia.
