Staff at a Halifax hospital were “scraping the bottom of the can” Wednesday for enough nuclear material for one badly needed test, but about 100 patients expecting scans this week will have to wait because of a critical shortage of an essential isotope.And hundreds of other people awaiting diagnostic tests across the country are also having their procedures postponed.
