TCTMD -- On the heels of several studies that showed the benefit of alternative models in predicting safety in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), a subanalysis of 1-year results from the LEADERS trial reaffirms the value of the Syntax score in judging risk in a broad population receiving drug-eluting stents (DES). The findings appear in the July 20, 2010, issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
