Findings Support Whole-Heart MRA for Detecting CAD

Doctors Lounge -- Non-contrast enhanced whole-heart coronary magnetic resonance angiography at 1.5-T has high sensitivity and moderate specificity for detecting significant coronary artery disease, with a negative predictive value suggesting that it can rule out coronary artery disease, according to research published in the Sept. 14 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
