Register: Biotech Forecasts: Expectations, Outcomes and the Road to 2027

ABOUT THE EVENT

Date: Tuesday, December 8, 2026 12–1pm EST
Event Location: Virtual

This year tested many of the assumptions underpinning biotech forecasts. While analysts correctly identified several emerging trends, ongoing capital constraints, widening capability gaps and the growing importance of global development revealed a more complex reality than many expected. This webinar explores which predictions proved most accurate, where expectations diverged from market conditions and what those outcomes can teach leaders planning for 2027. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the forces that shaped 2026 and a practical framework for evaluating analyst guidance, operational readiness and investment risk.

This webinar aims to help attendees:

  • Assess how capital market expectations compared with reality — examining where forecasts correctly anticipated improvement and where persistent backlog, prolonged funding pressures and late-stage capability challenges complicated the anticipated recovery.
  • Understand how global drug development evolved during 2026 — including the impact of regulatory expectations, geopolitical uncertainty and the increasing importance of multi-jurisdiction development strategies.
  • Evaluate how manufacturing and supply chain forecasts performed — exploring how geopolitical pressures, supply chain resilience efforts and technology transfer considerations influenced footprint and sourcing decisions across the industry.
