Business Wire -- Empire Resorts, Inc. (NASDAQ: NYNY) announced today that James A. Barrett, Jr. and Gregory K. Wells, two senior executives of the Marnell Family of Companies in Las Vegas, Nevada, have agreed to join the Board of Directors of Empire Resorts as “Observers”. The Observer appointments are effective as of May 1, 2009. In addition, the two senior Marnell executives have agreed to be appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors, subject to Board approval upon completion of a successful restructuring by the Company with its bond holders.
