Diet And Cancer

September 28, 2005 -- A lot of scientific energy has gone into proving a link between dietary habits and cancer, finding, at one time or another, a lack of fiber or too much coffee as a cause for the disease. After all, smoking is a behavior and it was indisputably tied to cancer. Why not other habits? A large industry can spring up, almost overnight, to satisfy (and hype) the latest fad, like pomegranate juice, the flavor of the moment. Why is the desire to find a dietary cause/cure so powerful and what is the science behind it?
