Acacia Research Corporation (NASDAQ: CBMX) (NASDAQ: ACTG) announced today that its CombiMatrix Group will receive $2.3 Million from the Defense Department spending bill to be passed by the Congress this week. Work on this project began early this year through a Defense Department contract to CombiMatrix worth $5.9 million. This new, additional funding will provide for continued development of the sensor system.
