GAITHERSBURG, Md., June 20 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sodexho USA , the nation’s leading provider of food and facilities management, announced today that its Health Care Services Division was awarded the contract to provide a variety of services for Stanford University Hospital & Clinics (SUHC) and the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH) in Palo Alto, Calif. For over 25 years, Sodexho has been the foodservice provider to these organizations and with this new contract, it will provide additional services to the 264-bed LPCH and the 613-bed SUHC, valued at almost $100 million in managed volume over the next four and a half years.
Sodexho will provide and manage a wide range of services for SUHC and LPCH through this new agreement, including housekeeping, grounds keeping and patient transport. This new contract is designed to allow SUHC and LPCH to be an even more effective healthcare provider by allowing Sodexho to focus on these individual operations.
