BOULDER, Colo., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Performance Health Technologies Inc. (PHT), a leader in the development of innovative rehabilitation, injury prevention and health maintenance products, will exhibit at the 2005 Annual American Physical Therapy Association’s (APTA) Combined Sections Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. PHT will officially launch their newest product, Core:Tx(TM), at the show. Core:Tx is a new patent-pending wireless motion sensing system for neuromuscular reeducation.
The APTA Combined Sections Meeting will take place in New Orleans at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from February 23 to 27. The APTA expects almost 6000 attendees, including physical therapists, assistants and physical therapy students. In attendance from Performance Health Technologies will be Nancy Drake, Marketing Manager, and Susan Gerber, MPT, Director of Product Management.
“This is a great opportunity for PHT to showcase Core:Tx and give physical therapists hands on experience with the product,” says Ms. Drake. “There is a long list of clinicians who have seen our advertisements and are planning to stop by the booth for a product demo. We are looking forward to a very productive show in New Orleans.”
Core:Tx addresses neuromuscular training in all stages of rehabilitation. The transceiver can be attached to a variety of muscles and joints. Using MotionTrack(TM) technology, Core:Tx senses angular motion and relays the information in real-time to a computer. The patient performs exercises with the proprietary software, while watching their movement on the screen. The interactive graphics are challenging and engaging for patients, while the software provides the clinician with objective performance data.
