Michael Reese Hospital Chooses Perot Systems For Revenue Cycle Outsourcing Solutions

PLANO, Texas, July 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Perot Systems Corporation today announced that the company has signed a revenue cycle outsourcing agreement with Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center (MRHMC), a Doctors Community Healthcare Corporation (DCHC) facility located in Chicago. Under terms of the seven-year agreement, Perot Systems will assume operational and administrative responsibility for the business office functions of the 351-bed integrated care delivery organization.

Perot Systems, which serves more than 350 healthcare providers with information technology and business processing solutions, will now manage billing, financial management and reporting, accounts receivable, third party and self-pay collections, service center activities; and patient accounting system support for MRHMC. Perot Systems’ approach will blend technology, expert staff and proven best practices to assist MRHMC with strengthening the financial viability of the 124-year-old institution.

Of the agreement, MRHMC CEO and chairman of the board, Dr. Enrique Beckmann said, “Entrusting the business office to Perot Systems ensures that MRHMC stays focused on its mission of creating a patient-centered institution that empowers our community and physicians.
