ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Lockheed Martin businesses in Central Florida donated 210 flu vaccine doses to the Orlando Orange County Health Department today to assist the county in providing vaccinations to high-risk residents.
“Lockheed Martin is committed to serving our employees and the communities in which we live and work,” said Stan Arthur, president of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control-Orlando. “We were fortunate to have received our order of vaccine before the shortage became apparent. All Lockheed Martin companies located in Central Florida made a conscious decision to immunize only employees who are in the high-risk categories defined by the Centers for Disease Control. Based on that decision, we have a surplus that can benefit those in most need of the vaccination in our community.”
