Hill-Rom Expands Art Of Care(TM) Healthcare Furniture Line

BATESVILLE, Ind., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hill-Rom, a leading global provider of patient care environment and process solutions, has expanded its premium line of healthcare furniture designed exclusively for patient care and family support settings.

The Art of Care(TM) collection now features a three-position recliner, a 24-inch wide visitor chair and spanned multiple seating, along with more than 200 new fabrics and several other aesthetic options.

The Art of Care(TM) collection, formerly known as Hill-Rom’s Premium line of furniture, features a wide variety of styles to meet the diverse needs of today’s healthcare facilities, from the patient room to the lobbies, waiting rooms, lounges and other public areas of the hospital.

Healthcare facilities can replace furniture not specifically designed for healthcare environments with tougher, more comfortable and functional furniture that matches the design and beauty of their patient furniture. The collection includes visitor chairs, high back chairs, multiple seating, large- capacity chairs, large-capacity seating, three-position recliners, bedside cabinets and tables.

The new additions include:

* A three-position recliner with a weight-activated and protected reclining mechanism, positioning hooks on the back and locking front wheels. The chair is available with such options as a foldable tray table, removable arm or 21-inch seat height.

* A 24-inch wide visitor chair with 500-pound weight capacity. This joins the regular 20-inch width chairs and the 30- and 40-inch Large Capacity chairs.

* Spanned multiple seating without arms between the seats.

* Crypton(TM)-performance fabrics, which are antibacterial, resist fungal growth and can resist stains from blood and urine. (Crypton(TM) is a trademark of Hi-Tex, Inc.)

* New aesthetic options, such as urethane arm caps or ConformBack(TM) feature, which flexes for additional comfort.
