First Health Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of First Health Group Corp. (NASDAQ:FHCC), announced today that eight states have recently awarded the company pharmacy management contracts, including contracts to develop preferred drug lists (PDL) and negotiate supplemental rebates with pharmaceutical manufacturers. With the addition of these contracts from Alaska, Hawaii, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio and South Carolina, First Health Services now assists states in managing over $10 billion in drug expenditures for 19 Medicaid and State Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs, with PDL and rebate negotiation contracts in 13 of these states.
