Companion Technologies To Demonstrate Orthopedic Module At Annual Conference

COLUMBIA, S.C., April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Companion Technologies will demonstrate the specially designed orthopedic module of its new medical practice management system Companion PM at a national conference of orthopedic administrators to be hosted in May.

The demonstrations will take place in Companion Technologies' booth 113-115 at the BONES Society annual meeting May 23-26 in Miami.

This will be the first time that Companion Technologies will demonstrate the new product at a meeting of orthopedic practice professionals.

Companion PM is an A/R billing and reporting, collections, patient master, claims processing, and appointment scheduling system. Companion Technologies' product line also includes electronic medical records Companion EMR and hospital claims system Companion EnterprisEDI.

With Companion PM's orthopedic specialty module, practices can track costs and profits at the encounter level as well as at the case level in addition to tracking physicians, referring physicians, insurance, accident and workers' compensation.

Companion PM is the result of reengineering of the company's previous practice management software, MegaWest. Distinguishing characteristics include its scalability and modular design, allowing it to be tailored to a practice's exact needs. It also uses tools that are SQL, HL7 and ODBC compliant, giving it flexible system architecture. Its operating system and platform independence enable practices to use their existing hardware, and its IBM relational database gives practices reporting capabilities not found in other systems.

Companion Technologies ( http://www.companiontechnologies.com/ ) has aligned with leading industry vendors, including IBM and Sun Microsystems, to deliver healthcare data management services. Based in Columbia, S.C., Companion Technologies provides physician practices with financial, clinical, operational and managed care information management solutions.
