RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calf., March 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Applied Medical announced today they have completed a planned expansion of their corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities with the addition of a fourth building, expanding distribution operations. Last year Applied Medical purchased their two-building corporate headquarters complex and completed the construction of a third facility dedicated to advanced manufacturing processes for plastics and metals.
These recent facility expansions, completed within one year of the company’s award of two national Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) contracts with Premier Purchasing Partners and MedAssets Supply Chain Systems, continue Applied’s growth plan and dedication to excellence in operations. Applied was also recently awarded a GPO contract with Novation as one of their suppliers for trocars, endoscopic instruments and ligation. These three GPOs represent more than sixty-five percent of the hospital market for these devices.

The expanded distribution will be fully operational by May 2005. The medical product company’s 265,000 square foot manufacturing and administrative facilities are all located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA.
