The webinar is restricted to members of the biotechnology sector and will provide the following:

Background
The problem of malicious insider threat impacts organizations across all industries, including, notably, the chemical sector. Although the attack methods vary, the primary types of insider acts — theft of intellectual property, sabotage, fraud, and espionage—continue to hold true and are exponentially increasing with the expanding use and reliance on digital technology. Increasing focus on improvements of external defences shifts the risk from an outsider to a trusted insider trajectory (outside influenced or not) which is potentially much more damaging for an organization. The 10th annual Kroll “Global Fraud & Risk Report,” published in 2018, reports all-time-high rates of fraud, cyber, and security incidents across the 540 companies surveyed, and finds that employees or ex-employees were a causal factor in the majority of incidents in all three categories.
Many organizations are currently taking comprehensive steps to complement (outsider focused) (cyber) security programs with addressing the issue of insider threats, instead of the more reactive incident management focus of the past.
