ATLANTA, Oct. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- For the third quarter of 2011, Elekta continued its domination of the number one ranking in MD Buyline’s user satisfaction surveys by earning the top overall composite rankings in all vital business areas: stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), linear accelerators (tie with another provider), oncology information systems (OIS) and treatment planning systems (TPS). For six consecutive quarters, Elekta has placed first in 23 of 24 quarterly results, trending above the market average for the same time period.
Vendors are rated on a 1 to 10 scale according to user satisfaction with system performance, system reliability, system installation/implementation, applications training, service response time and service repair quality. MD Buyline clinical and IT analysts conduct interviews with hands-on users, including clinicians, physicians, biomedical engineers, physicists, nurses, CIOs and IT managers.
Important details of the Q3 survey include:
- SRS: Elekta continues to lead the industry, receiving the highest scores in all categories.
- Linear accelerators: Elekta tied for first with another vendor.
- OIS: Elekta’s MOSAIQ® displaces Varian for the number one ranking and is ranked highest in four of the six performance categories.
- TPS: Elekta received the highest overall score and the highest score in four of the six categories.
