Diflucan Reduces Recurrent Yeast Infections

For women who suffer recurrent bouts of vaginal yeast infections, a Diflucan pill taken once a week reduces the number of episodes they experience over the long term, according to a study in this week’s New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Jack D. Sobel of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, and colleagues recruited women with an acute yeast infection who had had at least four episodes in the previous year.
