Nanomix Awarded SBIR Grant From National Institute Of Health; Focused On Novel Manufacturing Techniques For The Sensation(TM) Nanoelectronic Detection Platform

EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2005--Nanomix Inc. announced today the award of a significant Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant from the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, a part of the National Institute of Health. The SBIR program is designed to stimulate technological innovation and commercialization by small businesses. SBIR awards are earned through a peer-reviewed competition, with innovation, educational value and potential economic benefits as criteria. The grant will fund the development of novel manufacturing processes in the production of nanoelectronic detection devices for medical applications.
