MELVILLE, N.Y., Feb. 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Keane, Inc. today announced its Healthcare Solutions Division (HSD) has been awarded a contract to deploy the EZ-Access Healthcare Information System, a browser- based suite that includes the Patcom Plus revenue management solution, at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, New York. Keane is delivering a single source solution that addresses the unique information technology requirements of both the acute and long-term care environments.

Long Beach Medical Center will replace its current back office and patient access systems from Siemens with Keane’s patient and financial management solutions, including Patcom Plus patient accounting and health information management, accounts payable, general ledger, materials management, enterprise scheduling, and the VistaKEANE long-term care resident accounting applications.
The organization will automate its clinical processes with a comprehensive suite of applications, including clinical documentation, computerized provider order entry, radiology, pharmacy, data repository, physician support, and the VistaKEANE resident care and rehabilitation applications.
To aid in the selection process, the hospital solicited input from a multi-disciplinary team of representatives from each department to ensure that the end result would meet both their individual and organizational needs. “We appreciate the strength of the Patcom product and Keane’s long history of doing billing in New York,” said Cheryl Chapman, assistant administrator at Long Beach Medical Center. “From a clinical standpoint, we like the progress and direction of the product suite, and have found Keane receptive to working with our organization on the product’s continued development.”
