Healthlink Incorporated Ranked Number One In KLAS Study Of Healthcare Professional Service Firms

HOUSTON, Nov. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Healthlink Incorporated, a Houston-based, provider-focused, privately held, healthcare information systems consulting firm, today announced that it has been ranked first among professional service providers in the implementation of acute care clinical systems and as “One of Best Experiences” for both clinical and financial information system implementation in a study conducted by KLAS Enterprises. KLAS is a widely recognized research and consulting firm that specializes in monitoring and reporting on the performance of healthcare information technology vendors and professional service firms.

The KLAS study is based on data collected on some of the top Professional Services Firms (PSF) in the industry that have implemented ERP and core clinical information systems for acute care facilities in North America over the past 24 months. In addition to Healthlink, PSFs included in the study are Capgemini, Cerner, CTG, Eclipsys, First Consulting Group, ISH, Lawson, PeopleSoft, Rapidigm, and Superior. In the clinical area, KLAS analyzed the overall performance of services delivered by six top clinical PSFs based on 13 questions consisting of 12 performance measures and one yes/no question. In the financial area, the study looked at the performance of eight PSFs.

Healthlink achieved the highest ranking in the area of clinical implementation, with an overall score of 90.8 percent, and also the highest average in the 12 performance indicators, with a rating of 8.1; the average overall scores for all PSFs was 83.7 percent and 7.5 for performance indicators. Healthlink also scored the highest overall for both clinical and financial implementation when respondents were asked whether they regarded their experience with Healthlink as “Best/One of the Best” when compared to experiences with other PSFs; 100 percent of Healthlink evaluation respondents answered in the affirmative for clinical implementation.

Healthlink also scored the highest in Lawson implementation and led the field with the highest percentage of positive comments for both clinical and financial implementation. Verbal comments included “The Healthlink staff was exceptional. They are the best of all the consultants we have used.” “Healthlink is an excellent company. They are well organized and have a solid methodology.” “Healthlink worked with people as partners and became part of our team."*

“We are pleased and honored with this recognition from KLAS and our clients who participated in this study,” said Ivo Nelson, CEO and President of Healthlink. “It speaks to our solid commitment to do what it takes to make our customers successful, and it validates the extraordinary effort we have put forth to develop our methodologies. It is also so rewarding to see the hard work and commitment of the Healthlink team be nationally recognized in such a significant manner.”
