DENVER, Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- The Health Plan of San Joaquin (HPSJ), a 65,000 member health plan in Stockton, California, has signed an agreement with Q Mark, Inc., a leading NCQA certified HEDIS(R) software and services vendor, to provide a complete software solution to support their HEDIS reporting needs. This agreement will provide the Health Plan of San Joaquin with the ability to report their standard HEDIS measurements, but will also provide for proactive identification of members not meeting certain quality indicators. This will allow the HPSJ the opportunity to provide education to providers and members as well as focus their quality efforts on very specific targeted areas.
"We are excited to partner with Q Mark to enhance our 'Pay for Performance' program," states Sylvia Gates Carlisle, M.D., Medical Director of The Health Plan of San Joaquin. The Health Plan is piloting an incentive bonus program to encourage providers to meet HEDIS objectives.
Under this agreement, the HPSJ will use Q Mark's industry leading HEDISHelp administrative reporting software in conjunction with Q Mark's HYBRIDHelp software application for medical record abstraction. The two products are fully integrated, allowing for immediate aggregation of a plan's HEDIS data with resultant comprehensive reporting and graphics.
"Q Mark is extremely pleased to be selected by the Health Plan of San Joaquin," states Teri Mullaney, President and CEO of Q Mark. "Their emphasis is on not only increasing their HEDIS scores, but improving the quality of care in their community."
