FALLS CHURCH, Va., Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Axiom Resource Management, Incorporated, has been awarded a contract to support health care information privacy implementation, policy development, and privacy program management support to the TRICARE Management Activity (TMA) privacy office. The contract is valued at $9.45 million over 5 years.
Doug Peardon, Axiom’s Chief Operating Officer, stated that the firm was very happy to have won the privacy work. “This is important work for a highly- valued client,” he said. The federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act requires healthcare providers to protect the privacy of patient records. TRICARE provides healthcare to more than 8.9 million military personnel, eligible family members, and retirees, through a combination of military hospitals and civilian providers.
