ATLANTA, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Adair-Greene Healthcare Communications has restructured the responsibilities of two senior executives in an effort, according to Jay Levy, president, to manage the agency's growth and position it for continued success.
In a move designed to strengthen the agency in both the marketing and client management areas, Mark Perlotto, who was previously EVP, managing director, has been named EVP, chief marketing officer. Ed Capparucci -- who was brought in last year as VP, Management Supervisor -- has been promoted to the post of VP, Director of Client Services.
Both men will report to Levy. "This reorganization is a way to capitalize on the talents of our staff," he said. "By separating the marketing and day-to-day account management functions, we believe we can sharpen the agency's strategic offerings, allowing us to grow the business while serving our clients better."
Mark Perlotto
As chief marketing officer, Perlotto will be leading Adair-Greene's senior marketing team, providing strategic counsel and insuring the integrity of all agency proposals to new and current clients. In addition, he will direct new business marketing and public relations initiatives for the agency.
"Mark is one of the most talented marketing strategists I have ever come across," said Levy. "His insights into overcoming the challenges of pharmaceutical and device marketing make him the ideal candidate for this role and will benefit both the agency and our clients."
Before joining Adair-Greene in 1996, Perlotto spent more than nine years on the industry side. He served in various marketing and sales positions with Janssen Pharmaceutica, a division of Johnson & Johnson, and with Solvay Pharmaceuticals, where he was responsible for strategic development and brand management in every stage of a product's life cycle, going from pre-launch to maturity.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington, Perlotto holds degrees in biology and chemistry. He and his family live in Woodstock, GA.
Ed Capparucci
Under the new structure, Capparucci, a Gold Effie Award winner, will oversee the account services department, directing and building all client-agency relationships.
"Ed has demonstrated a great capacity for getting the work done for clients as well as motivating the account service teams. That's a perfect skill match for directing the account services department," said Levy.
Capparucci, whose pharmaceutical career spans 15 years, is committed to ensuring the quality of service across all initiatives conducted by the agency. Before joining Adair-Greene, he was vice president, account supervisor, at Integrated Communications, where he handled promotion and medical education for drugs relating to Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy.
Prior to that, he was account supervisor for Adient/ Commonhealth USA, where he worked on cholesterol-lowering and ulcers drugs for the professional and OTC markets.
A graduate of Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, Capparucci received an MS in healthcare administration from Kean College, in Union, NJ.
