BALTIMORE and HOUSTON, May 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Accelera Corp., a leader in interactive learning for medical professionals, and Romar Consulting, a leader in consulting, skills training, and facilitated workshops for life sciences professionals announced today that they plan to join forces on January 1, 2006. Rocky Leavelle, President of Romar Consulting, and Deborah Ung, President of Accelera, have decided to combine operations into a unified company to provide their global clients with highly responsive service over a broad range of consulting and learning solutions.
Rocky Leavelle, a 2002 inductee into the Society of Pharmaceutical and Biotech Trainers (SPBT) Hall of Fame, will remain fully active as Chairman, and Debbie Ung will serve as President of the combined company.
Rocky Leavelle commented, “The joining of these exceptional companies furthers our shared vision of creating the premiere learning solutions provider to the life science industry. It combines seasoned talent with top quality products and services that deliver value to our clients in support of their strategic and operational goals.”
Accelera and Romar are industry leaders that focus exclusively on improving human performance for pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device companies and medical professionals through innovative learning and performance improvement programs. Romar provides strategic consulting services; industry-specific sales, management, and marketing skills training; and workshop facilitation for operating management and field personnel. Debbie Ung said, “Our goal is to improve organizational performance for our clients by providing their employees with the skills and resources they need to differentiate their products and services. The union of these two companies enables us to shift from a tactical project-based approach to a more strategic model where we partner with our clients to help them link their training projects to their strategic and operational priorities.”
She added, “This consolidation is another important step in executing our strategic vision. We have a large and talented in-house team of consultants, instructional designers, medical writers, programmers, editors, graphic artists, facilitators, and quality assurance specialists. We will continue to recruit the finest talent to further strengthen our client response capability and grow the operations in each of our four principle office locations: Baltimore and Frederick, Maryland; Hamilton, New Jersey; and The Woodlands, Texas.”
Formal consolidation of the companies is planned for January 1, 2006 to allow management time to fully integrate operations and ensure consistent, superior client performance.
