Walkerton.com -- After a long wait construction on a proposed hotel for Walkerton’s East Ridge Business Park is within reach. A group of investors called the Walkerton East Ridge Hotel Development Group, led by Bonnie Petro, are pooling their money in an effort to build a $4.2 million hotel in the East Ridge Business Park. About $1.5 million has already been pledged, mainly by Brockton residents. Once that figure hits the necessary shareholder’s equity base, Petro will seek the remainder from a financial institution and the project will move forward.
