AL Ideathon 2025: Reshaping Life Sciences Operations Through Ideas
AL Ideathon is an idea-sharing competition that brings together professionals and innovators from the life sciences sector. It provides a structured platform for participants to present ideas that address real challenges in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, medical devices, chemical manufacturing, and related industries.
Last year, the event attracted over 544 submissions, with ₹10 lakhs in prize money awarded across categories. The scale of participation and the quality of ideas made AL Ideathon 2024 a standout success, establishing it as one of the most impactful industry idea forums.
This year, AL Ideathon will be held on 27th September 2025 in Mumbai. The focus is simple: recognize ideas that improve processes, challenge outdated approaches, and drive measurable impact.
Categories of Participation
Participants can submit ideas under four key categories:
Business Process Excellence
Business Transformation Concepts
Application of AI, ML, or RPA for productivity and employee satisfaction
Improvements in Existing Systems
Submissions are welcome from departments spanning R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, IT, Digital Transformation, and Laboratories.
Recognition and Rewards
Prizes worth ₹10,00,000 will be awarded, including:
Golden Innovation Award – ₹3,00,000
Silver Spotlight Award – ₹1,50,000
Department Dynamo Awards – ₹3,00,000 (distributed across departments)
Top Ten Innovators Awards – ₹2,50,000 (₹25,000 each)
How It Works
Participants submit a concise abstract (150–200 words) outlining the problem, proposed solution, and potential impact. Entries are reviewed by a panel of industry experts, with shortlisted ideas invited for presentation during the event. Submissions are evaluated on originality, practicality, and clarity.
Eligibility and Deadlines
The competition is open to all life sciences professionals. The submission deadline is 10th September 2025, with jury evaluations beginning on 15th September.
