ATLANTA, Oct. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- NDCHealth Corporation today announced that it has completed the beta testing of ePREMIS(R) Medicare Direct Entry and that their beta site, Texas Health Resources, is now live on the newest addition to the ePREMIS suite of revenue cycle management solutions. Medicare Direct Entry provides real time claims submission to the Medicare online system. With NDC ePREMIS and NDC Medicare Direct Entry, NDCHealth now offers a unique combination of services with both Medicare and commercial claims processed within in a single application enabling organizations to develop consistency in workflow, processes and security for all payers.
NDC Medicare Direct Entry helps providers accelerate their Medicare cash flow by improving first-pass adjudication rates and reducing follow-up processes by combining NDCHealth’s industry-leading Medicare compliance and content edits with pre-submission eligibility checking and real-time claim delivery. Medicare Direct Entry also offers powerful reporting tools that provide transparency into the adjudication status of Medicare claims and help to automate the creation of claims secondary to Medicare.
Ed Gallo, vice president and general manager of NDCHealth’s Hospital Division said, “The beta process went extremely well. Together with hospitals, we can successfully implement a better solution for a critical component of a hospital’s revenue stream. The beta testing resulted in immediate improvements in Medicare claim adjudication rates, and a dramatic reduction in rejections for the beta site. We look forward to helping all of our customers achieve long term positive benefits from NDC Medicare Direct Entry in terms of cash flow acceleration and staff efficiency.”
“Medicare claims often are thirty percent or more of a hospital’s claim volume. Medicare Direct Entry will help improve our customers’ revenue and cash flow by speeding Medicare reimbursement turnaround and reducing staff time spent on costly follow-up,” said Walter Hoff, chairman and chief executive officer, NDCHealth. “We appreciate the opportunity to deliver a solution that can positively impact hospital profitability, and are thankful for the on-going support and willingness of hospitals to partner with us as beta sites to help bring better solutions to all of our hospital customers.”
