In response to requirements from Health Canada and other international health organizations, Medisca, a global leader in the personalized pharmaceutical industry, has removed potential allergens methylisothiazolinone and methylchloroisothiazolinone (MI/MCI), from flagship products. MI/MCI are chemicals commonly used as preservatives in “leave-in” cosmetics and other topical products, but when used in higher concentrations, MI/MCI may cause rashes and other symptoms.
