COVINGTON, Ky.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 3, 2005--Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR) today announced that it has agreed to provide more time to the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to review the documents and data submitted by Omnicare under the FTC’s Request for Additional Information under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976. The requested documents and data relate to Omnicare’s tender offer for all of the outstanding shares of the common stock of NeighborCare, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCRX). Under its agreement with the FTC, Omnicare will not seek to close the NeighborCare transaction until 12:01 AM on June 16, 2005.
