DALLAS, Feb. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Moll Industries, Inc., a plastics injection molder and contract manufacturer, grows its appliance and consumer products divisions with the purchase of assets previously owned by Formec, S.A. de C.V., in Monterrey, Mexico. The move enables Moll to provide supplemental services to some existing customers and initiates new relationships in core market segments in which it already possesses extensive knowledge and experience. The bulk of incremental production taken on involves appliance manufacturing, but projects in automotive and electronics sectors will also be continuing. These developments illustrate the latest steps in strategically driven advances targeted to expand Moll capacities within specific arenas of market focus and operational excellence.
“Increasing in areas where we already have expert abilities simply makes good sense. It’s smart for us, for our stakeholders and for our customers. It’s growth that aligns both with our driving philosophy to always provide added value, and with our long-term vision for healthy progress,” stated Moll President Ron Embree, adding, “Our promise remains to continually improve levels of service for our customers focusing first on their successes.”
The Monterrey locale complements a robust line-up of manufacturing operations for Moll including around 250 injection-molding machines worldwide, offering wide-ranging tonnage from 33 to 1450. Sister facilities are located in Empalme, Mexico; Donegal, Ireland and a variety of US locales, including Costa Mesa, CA; Ft. Smith, AR; New Braunfels, Texas (near San Antonio); La Vergne, TN (just outside Nashville), and in two cities in North Carolina, Seagrove and Lexington.
Moll Industries, Inc. is one of the largest and most experienced full- service contract manufacturers of custom injection molded plastic components and assemblies to the appliance industry in North America, and a significant provider of medical, healthcare and consumer products components.
