The Monash University School of Biological Sciences is a centre for basic research, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs at all levels of biological organisation, including molecular and cell biology, genetics, development, physiology, ecology and evolution.

Monash is hosting the Australian Monash Synchrotron, a powerful $206 million particle accelerator that will help make major breakthroughs in areas like cancer, new computer chips and treatment drugs. A $300 million Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP) will be constructed at the Clayton campus in Melbourne.
