Presentation Objective

Barrier Therapeutics is an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company focused on dermatology, that was "born an adolescent" with its initial financing in May 2002. Barrier has 10 products in clinical development, 3 in preclinical, and several classes of molecules for screening via a worldwide exclusive license from J&J. Because of its advanced stage of development and short corporate history, the company is accelerating its public presence among potential investors, potential corporate partners, and the investment banking community. Our presentation at this conference is an excellent venue to reach all of these priority audiences.

Corporate Mission
Barrier Therapeutics, Inc. is an emerging specialty pharmaceutical company whose mission is to become the leader in the development and commercialization of therapeutically advanced pharmaceuticals to meet unmet or underserved clinical needs in the field of dermatology. Barrier plans to manage directly all aspects of its compounds' development through NDA filings in North America and Europe and plans to field a dedicated specialty sales force in the U.S. and selected European countries while collaborating in other territories for broader market coverage.

Proprietary Technology
Barrier's initial portfolio of products under development and research pipeline are the result of a worldwide exclusive royalty-free license from affiliates of Johnson & Johnson. The clinical pipeline includes four products in or entering Phase III trials to treat fungal infections, Candida-associated diaper dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, and congenital ichthyosis. Six earlier-stage clinical products, of which two are late stage Phase II products, are in the areas of psoriasis, acne, skin inflammation, fungal infections, allergies, and wound healing. The Company's product portfolio also includes an orally available vitamin D3 derivative, which was recently in-licensed from RIMAC, along with numerous compounds in pre-clinical development and several classes of molecules for continued screening and exploration.

Corporate Alliances
The founding of the Company was based on the extensive product and patent portfolio, which was licensed to Barrier from affiliates of Johnson & Johnson in exchange for equity. The worldwide exclusive royalty free license to all products covers the field of dermatology, which includes diseases of the skin, hair, nails, and oral and genital mucosa. The license covers a strong patent portfolio including 25 issued U.S. patents, 6 pending U.S. patents and numerous foreign issued and pending patents.Barrier is interested in establishing strategic partners outside the United States and Canada for its portfolio.
