Veggies Do Not Lessen Colon Cancer Risk

TOKYO, May 11 (UPI) -- A Japanese study finds eating lots of fruits and vegetables doesn’t lower the odds of developing colon cancer, the Asahi Shimbun reported Wednesday. The surprising finding by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare panel followed a seven- to 10-year study of 90,000 men and women, ages 40-70, from various areas in Japan.
