What you will do

In this critical role, the Oncology Marketing Manager will have the opportunity to deliver unprecedented growth for Kyprolis in multiple myeloma, contributing to one of the key growth driver brands for Amgen in a highly competitive market.

This Oncology Marketing Manager will lead several marketing initiatives aimed at a variety of target audiences including thought leaders, community HCPs, APPs and patients. This individual will report to the Marketing Director and will have the opportunity to shape overall brand strategy as a key member of the Kyprolis Brand Team. This role will also have ownership of end-to-end execution on marketing initiatives across personal and digital marketing channels, enabling this individual to further develop a well-rounded set of marketing competencies.

  • Lead development and execution of personal and digital marketing initiatives supporting community oncology growth of Kyprolis. Key initiatives could include:
  • Lead APP facing tactics in support of optimizing patient experience
  • Lead congress planning and sponsorships, both at a national level (e.g. ASH) and local sponsorships
  • Lead and manage the speaker bureau and speaker relationships including supporting speaker training, compliance, and product theater speaker management
  • Lead direct-to-patient marketing including patient website and patient CRM management
  • Support HCP digital marketing by leading content generation suited for various digital channels, aligned with brand strategy
  • Enhance relationships with key thought leaders in multiple myeloma by developing plans for thought leader engagements
  • Identify and track robust Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and lead/lag indicators to measure both strategic and tactical execution and demonstrate continuous improvement
  • Contribute to brand strategy, tactics and key priorities like message evolution to differentiate Kyprolis; elucidate and communicate customer insights and opportunities to help refine brand strategy, messaging, targeting, tactics and budget allocation across channels
  • Partner closely with Legal and Regulatory teams to deliver materials in accordance with Amgen standards and principles
  • Establish relationships with all agency partners and effectively manage agency; hold partners accountable for high quality work, budget execution, and timelines
  • Demonstrate a sense of shared ownership of overall brand and business unit performance
  • Live and role model the Amgen Values and contribute to a welcoming, engaging, and fun environment of industry-leading performance within the brand team and cross-functional partners

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Masters degree and 2 years of marketing experience


Bachelors degree and 4 years of marketing experience


Associates degree and 8 years of marketing experience


High school diploma / GED and 10 years of marketing experience

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
