We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Scientist I to join our esteemed Neurology research team. As a Scientist I, you will be a key player in developing complex cellular models to enable target discovery and validation for a broad range of CNS disorders.

What you’ll Do

  • Design and conduct rigorous experiments, including cell-based (cell lines, primary neurons and human iPSCs) and biochemical assays, aimed at execution of research projects focused on neurodegenerative diseases.
  • Assist in troubleshooting experiments, optimizing protocols, and addressing technical challenges to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Build complex cellular models to enable target discovery and validation.
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to align research activities with broader scientific goals and objectives.
  • Support the training and guidance of junior research associates and interns, fostering a collaborative and productive research environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neurology research by attending relevant conferences and workshops.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research publications, presentations, and grant proposals, showcasing the team's contributions to the field.
  • Maintain organized and comprehensive records of experiments, results, and protocols in adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the maintenance, procurement, and inventory management of laboratory equipment and supplies.

  • Extensive experience in developing and utilizing in vitro models of neurodegenerative and other neurological diseases.
  • Proven hands-on experience in the culture and maintenance of primary neurons and other CNS cell types including human iPSC-derived cells and/or 2D/3D cell culture techniques.
  • Proficiency in a range of laboratory techniques, including but not limited to cell culture, molecular biology, microscopy, automated liquid handlers and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate research findings effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
