Director, Clinical Program & Project Management

Position Summary:

The Director, Clinical Program & Project Management is responsible for driving the creation, monitoring and reporting of integrated clinical development plans across all clinical programs aligned with departmental objectives. The Director, Clinical Program & Project Management facilitates cross-functionally integration and strategical alignment within and across clinical programs supporting team effectiveness and team member collaboration.

Omeros is an innovative biopharmaceutical company committed to discovering, developing and commercializing small-molecule and protein therapeutics for large-market and orphan indications targeting inflammation, immunologic diseases (e.g., complement-mediated diseases) and cancers. Omeros’ lead MASP-2 inhibitor narsoplimab targets the lectin pathway of complement and is the subject of a biologics license application pending before FDA for the treatment of hematopoietic stem cell transplant-associated thrombotic microangiopathy. Narsoplimab is also in multiple late-stage clinical development programs focused on other complement-mediated disorders, including IgA nephropathy, atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome and COVID-19. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the creation and management of the integrated project plans for clinical programs inclusive of strategy, resource planning, status and operational risk identification and management 
  • Create a framework that enhances the cross functional information flow and collaboration of clinical and product teams
  • Facilitate appropriate cross functional representation and participation in clinical and product teams (Clinical Development, Regulatory/QA, Clinical Operations, CMC, Research, Commercial, Finance, Legal) to align with departmental objectives and product development stage
  • Lead or represent Clinical Program Management at governance meetings

Education, Experience, Knowledge, & Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific field or project management is required; graduate degree in a scientific or medical discipline, or MBA is a plus
  • 5-10 years of pharma/biotech industry experience in drug development
  • Understanding of all requirements for drug and biologic regulatory approval
  • Strong organizing and project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the development of integrated project plans, timelines, progress, and outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience leading and motivating teams in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate excellent cross-functional collaborations
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively throughout the organization
  • Demonstrated success in influencing colleagues and leaders in various departments
  • Behavioral Competencies Required: 

  • The individual must possess excellent interpersonal and management skills and be able to build and maintain effective relationships with management and peers and external vendors
  • The individual must be an effective and clear communicator, verbally and in writing
  • The individual must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional overnight travel is required

    Omeros is proud to offer a competitive total compensation package designed to support the lives of our employees and their families. The wage scale for the Director, Clinical Program & Project Management is $175,000 - $225,000. Salaries will be determined based on knowledge, skills, education, and experience relevant to the role. Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.  Employees accrue three weeks of vacation and 80 hours of sick time on an annual basis and receive twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. This position is eligible for bonus and stock options. To learn more about Omeros, please visit
