Job Details

The primary objective is to plan and facilitate scientific reviews of safety data, build connections among the safety oncology team and with key stakeholders/functions, and identify areas for innovation and champion changes in approaching oncology safety based on MOA (across assets) and based on disease state.

 

Responsibilities:

In conjunction with the Oncology Head:

•       Plan and facilitate periodic platform safety review meetings – “safety summits” on ADCs, CAR-T, other IO, assets causing lymphocyte depletion, etc…)

•       Facilitate scientific connections and interactions, info exchange across assets within the safety teams

•       Prepare material on current disease state and standard of care (using e.g.NCCN, ASCO, ESMO, ASH and EHA guidelines) for key indications relevant for  Abbvie Oncology pipeline

•       Develop educational exchange forums for OED, OLD and other PSEQ TAs

•       Build and strengthen relationships with discovery, PCS, clin pharm, P.Med, Clinical, Regulatory, etc.

•       Manage the outsourcing relationship with Clinical Operations (as needed)

•       Compile draft slide presentations for internal and external safety meetings as directed by Oncology Head

•       Prepare safety representatives for internal governances and senior leadership meetings such as DESC, SRB as well as IND/NDA submissions

•       Provide guidance and reviews for DSEC and SRB presentations

•       Help onboarding new MDs/SDs to Oncology Safety team

•       Works with Oncology head to raise resourcing challenges to BOS

•       Plan and facilitate the scientific part of the Oncology departmental meetings in collaboration with a BOS

•       Facilitate scientific connections and interactions, info exchange across assets within the safety teams


Qualifications:

  • BA with extensive experience in pharma and oncology
  • Master is preferred, not required
  • 10+ years of experience in Pharmacovigilance / Clinical Development / Development biological Sciences experience in the pharmaceutical industry and Oncology
  • In depth knowledge of safety regulations and requirements
  • Effectively provide input on technical safety documents
  • Work collaboratively across-functional teams
  • Strong ability to influence individual stake holders and cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
  • Fluency, both written and oral, in English
  • Ability to work effectively in the situation of uncertainty and complexity, ability to multitask
