The Patent Docketing Specialist/Assistant position provides docket services for the Patent Group, ensuring integrity and accuracy of the docket function. Assists on special projects, researching and analyzing relevant issues.                                                                                                                                                  
  • Provides docket services for the Patent Group, ensuring integrity and accuracy of the docket function
  • Dockets dates and deadlines, de-dockets completed items, and prepares responsive docket reports for the team
  • Manage all forms of correspondence and ensure information is accurately entered into the database and record keeping system
  • Maintain IP annuities database
  • Perform project administration duties as needed
  • Provide support with preparing documents required for filing with the USPTO

  • Associate’s Degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of patent docketing experience preferred.
  • High proficiency with Excel and file management
  • Knowledge of patent docketing, management and annuities database e.g., CPI, CPA, etc.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information
  • Ability to work effectively and to prioritize under pressure; ability to meet deadlines under sometimes stressful conditions
  • Strong motivation to meet deadlines and achieve goals
  • Must have strong organizational skills and conduct tasks accurately and timely
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including flexibility, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Detail oriented, multi-tasker, problem solving, and strong proofreading skills
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint, and PowerPoint
The pay scale for this position is: $30.00-$40.00 Hourly commensurate with experience. We believe this to be possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting, and we may modify this pay scale in the future.
