Job Description

Join Takeda as Senior Manager, Regional HCM Lead- Americas, where you will collaborate closely and partner with business leaders, HR and Operations colleagues, to oversee and drive regional HCM activities and initiatives supporting business objectives through our HR technologies. This role provides support to the Americas region (LATAM, United States and Canada) and all business units within that region across Takeda.

As a member of the HR Data, Digital, and Technology team, you will report to the Head of Digital HCM Technologies.

How you will contribute:

Partner with regional business leaders, HR and IT colleagues to:

  • provide support, best practices and guidance on a range of HR issues, and drive consistency in areas such as performance management, employee relations, absence management, talent management, compensation, benefits and talent acquisition.
  • gain an understanding of technology adoption challenges and opportunities over a culturally and geographically diverse stakeholder group and implement solutions accordingly.
  • develop and execute communications and change management strategies to support organizational change initiatives and ensure successful adoption of technology.
  • identify, prioritize and address system issues, and drive system enhancements that improve HR processes and workflows.
  • identify areas of improvement to obtain greatest value from the Workday system and other HR technologies.
  • identify, manage, and escalate project risks.

Lead and manage:

  • process design and configuration activities including business analysis, process mapping, writing business & functional requirements, configuration documents, test plans and test case execution.
  • administration, effectiveness, compliance (with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements), and maintenance of HR systems, including Workday.
  • training on HR systems and processes to end-users within the region.
  • regions’ preparation for cyclical HR processes from a systems’ perspective (e.g., performance management, goal setting, succession planning, advanced compensation cycle).
  • identification and analysis of trends, root causes, and prediction of future implications to drive continuous improvements in supporting business objectives.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ prior work experience in a Lead or Manager role with Workday
  • 5+ years of experience in a role of HR Business Partner, HR Information Systems or HR Operations in a Global Organization
  • Experience with other HR-related software and tools (including Service Now) preferred
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to design user process flows and translate those into system requirements
  • Ability to understand system configuration options and make decisions to balance user requirements with system sustainability and performance expectations to ensure an optimal user experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining SOX controls and procedures
  • Experience in Agile Development, with specific product-focused experience, working with Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Experience leading projects/workstreams to deliver system implementations in large, global, matrixed organizations
