Regeneron is currently seeking a Sr. Process Scientist to join the Downstream Investigations team. Process Sciences is a technical services department that deals with a range of scientific, technical, engineering and mathematical needs from the laboratory to the manufacturing floor. The Sr. Process Scientist will have two main areas of focus. The first will be to serve as a technical resource to the Process Sciences teams and Manufacturing teams. The second will be to pursue innovations and new technologies that support advancing manufacturing processes, lab capabilities, and problem-solving capabilities. The individual will be expected to seek industry leading knowledge advancements in modeling, automation, and engineering. This contributes process knowledge to the overall manufacturing system, regulatory filings, and the deviation management system.

As a Senior Scientist in Process Sciences, a typical day might include the following:

Providing technical and scientific support for manufacturing issues.

Identifying technical approaches to improve process characterization study quality and efficiency.

Developing fundamental understanding of chromatography processes using mechanistic modeling, design of experiments and historical data analysis.

Coaching and mentoring within and beyond your team to inspire technical growth and quality results for Regeneron.

Collaborating with scientific partner groups to leverage and share insights to achieve the greatest impact.

Staying current with bioprocessing industry process characterization and technology trends.

Identifying, developing, and implementing best in class technologies.

This role might be for you if you:

Have a deep understanding of statistical methods, statistical process control, mathematical modeling, mechanistic modeling, or related in-silico modeling.

Have experience with process or data analysis automation.

Can demonstrate cross-functional internal and external collaboration success.

Enjoy leading the way through challenges and helping teach teammates along the way.

Can work in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical laboratory environment making medicines addressing serious diseases.

Have experience in liquid chromatography process development or characterization.

Can think strategically and adopt good ideas from all sources, then participating, directing, and supporting others to achieve those strategic goals.

Lead with Science youll inspire and empower a team of subject matter experts to address new and existing scientific challenges with cutting-edge experimental and analytical approaches.

Take on big ideas, make it happen, be great together, and do whats right acting with integrity and empathy along the way, because its not just what you do, but also how you do it that matters.

To be considered for the Sr. Process Scientist you must be willing and able to work Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. You must have a PhD in life sciences/engineering; Molecular Biology, Biomolecular Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of relevant experience. Expertise in protein purification processes and familiarity with the overall biopharmaceutical manufacturing process is required. Level will be determined based on qualifications relevant to the role.

Salary Range (annually)

$89,100.00 - $145,500.00
