Key Accountabilities

  • Work with client and internal subject matter experts to define problem statements and outline technical program strategy.
  • Lead the project team to meet project milestones and technical strategy pivots.
  • Resolve cross-functional technical issues at project level.
  • Communicate program changes (strategy/risks/issues).
  • Assist and support GMP manufacturing by participating in activities, including, but not limited to: development study design and execution, training, clinical tech transfer, investigation support, product commercialization and ongoing product support, equipment design and qualification, and change control.
  • Define project needs and request staffing and support.
  • Accountable for developing and maintaining a detailed project plan to ensure that the right work gets completed to client expectations within deadlines and budgets.
  • Manage scope and project plan changes.
  • Accountable for timeliness and quality of the technical progress reports.
  • Anticipate program risks, changes, and issues.
  • Accountable for the technical success of a project with execution from the internal SME.
  • Responsible for project strategy and approve work plans generated by SMEs to support project hypothesis and milestones.
  • Accountable for the financial success of a project.
  • Shared responsibility for the success of client relationship.
  • Responsible for the technical quality of project deliverables.
  • Provide feedback to Line Managers on performance of subject matter experts and project team.
  • Communicate expertise and capabilities at technical conferences, in webinars, at client visits, and through publications as required.
  • Solve unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business.
  • Interprets internal and/or external business issues and recommends solutions.

Key Requirements

  • Requires a university degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical science, or other related engineering/scientific field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in drug development or related field, including relevant graduate school experience.
