Strategic Planning & Operations Finance Manager- Facilities


What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this role you will coordinate the financial aspects of the outsourced Service Provider associated with Facility Maintenance and general financial support for the Global Facilities Organization, i.e. developing the yearly budgets collaborating with Amgens Finance staff, Accrual and Cashflow Forecasting, Outsourced Supplier management, Purchase Order and Invoice Management, and oversight of the financial reports required for governance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the financial and contractual relationship with the Outsourced Service Provider related to Facility Maintenance
  • Developing the budgets, forecasts, variance analysis, and reporting for the outsourced contract
  • Disseminating cost information to the different Amgen Operational and FP&A staff to ensure that costs are captured in their budgets
  • Manage scope changes for the outsourced contracts including contract updates
  • Manage the financial contract obligations with respect to fees, incentives, savings pay-outs, etc.
  • Generate and communicate monthly financial information to internal clients
  • Prepare and support complex financial modeling
  • Prepare quarterly budget / forecasts for Net Expense
  • Prepare monthly variance analysis and reconciliations including preparing quarterly accruals
  • Interact with a wide range of leadership and site staff
  • Assist in the annual audit process
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed
  • Travel requirements (less than 5%)

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree


Masters degree and engineering, business management or life science and 2 years of experience in Operations/life science industry


Bachelors degree and engineering, business management or life science and 4 years of experience in Operations/life science industry


Associates degree and engineering, business management or life science and 10 years of experience in Operations/life science industry


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of experience in Operations/life science industry
