Job Description

Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking an Oncology Clinical Biomarker Lead in Cambridge, MA with the following requirements: PhD degree in Immunology, Immuno-oncology, Cancer Biology, Genetics, Pathology, or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 3 years of related experience. Required skills: develop and implement biomarker strategy and translational hypotheses for an immunotherapy product being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial in patients with select solid tumors; contribute to biomarker aspects of clinical study protocols, author relevant sections of lab manuals, ICFs, study documents, regulatory submissions and conference abstracts; lead development and implementation of clinical biomarker assays at external vendors including peripheral blood immunophenotyping by flow cytometry, genomics, gene expression analysis and immunoassays (cytokine profiling) to ensure high quality data delivery for clinical program decision making; experience working with clinical patient samples for biomarker analysis, including design and oversight of biomarker sample collections, processing, shipment, storage and testing strategy; develop biomarker assays, oversee implementation as well as analyze, interpret and communicate biomarker data for multiple oncology clinical programs utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities including small molecules, antibody-drug conjugates and cell therapies; effectively communicate and collaborate with highly matrixed environment across functional teams including discovery, clinical, computational biology, data management, regulatory, quality, finance and legal to deliver high-quality data to support translational research and advancement of clinical programs in accordance with study timelines. Up to 5% travel required. Up to 75% remote work allowed.
