Job Description

Takeda Development Center Americas, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Research Associate I in Cambridge, MA with the following requirements: Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 1 year of related experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology, or related field or foreign academic equivalent plus 3 years of related experience. Required skills: Optimize a critical cell-based assay used as a QC tool in manufacturing of gene therapy products leading to an increase in throughput and precision, reduced variability, and reduced duration of the assay; Gain hands-on experience with other analytical techniques such as ELISA and qPCR; maintain mammalian cell lines to perform cell-based assays; perform cell and molecular biology assays such as CellTiter-Glo Luminescent Cell Viability Assay and HTRF to support the cellular evaluation of small molecules in drug discovery platforms; gain hands-on experience with other analytical techniques such as Western Blots and WES; optimize cell-based assays by testing various parameters and aspects of the experimental protocol to develop most efficient experimental conditions.
